COMMODITY BUYER OFFICER

Job Purpose :

Accountable for execution of the sourcing strategy
and for achieving material cost reduction or saving for the assigned commodity. Responsible for the development of allocated proposal costing. Responsible to insure that lowest total cost is obtained in both proposal and contract execution including the proper management of risk and implementation of appropriate terms and conditions. Responsible and accountable for on time delivery and quality of all supplier contract deliverables relating to goods /services and documents.

Job Requirement :

* Minimum university degree majoring in Engineering or Business Administration or any other disciplines that provide incumbent with strong knowledge of procurement.

* Minimum 3 years experience as a commodity buyer or purchasing officer

* Able to communicate and negotiate effectively.

* Has thorough knowledge of boiler island scope/product (preferred)

* Able to interface and coordinate with other discipline in a matrix environment.
